'Mona Lisa Overdrive' is Gibson's third novel and conclusion to the entire Sprawl series. The main characters are Angie Mitchell and Bobby Newmark from 'Count Zero', and there are many references to the events of the other Sprawl stories. Even though the style of the book is similar to its prequels, the story lacks the drive of 'Neuromancer'. ¶ There is no connection whatsoever to the world-famous painting of Mona Lisa in the book. The name of this website 'William Gibson aleph' is based on 'Mona Lisa Overdrive', in which an aleph is a huge biochip that can store vast amounts of data. ¶ |
